Q 6: What is the ruling on a menstruating woman performing Hajj?
A: A menstruating woman is not forbidden to perform Hajj. The woman who assumes Ihram (ritual state for Hajj and ‘Umrah) while she is menstruating has to do all the rituals of Hajj, except that she should not circumambulate the Ka‘bah until her period ends and she performs Ghusl (ritual bath following major ritual impurity).
